Mountain View Church was started in July 2014 in the back of Valley View RV park in Island Park Idaho. We moved around to different buildings until 2015 when we moved across the road from Valley View RV Park. We tried to hold year round services but some folks were only summer residents and then others moved. In 2018 I (Walter Barbee) was asked to be the pastor of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church in Sugar City Idaho. So in 2018 Mountain View was moved to an outreach of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church.
We believe that the King James Bible is the True Word of God. We believe it in its entirety and that other versions compromise the Truth and water it down.
We believe that anyone can be saved as it says in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Then again in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. The same whosoever that was mentioned in John 3:16 is the same that is mentioned in Romans 10:13. There are no restrictions and no sin too great that the blood of Jesus Christ can save someone from.
We believe and preach that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and that all can be saved.
